Project Jobless is a movement which seeks to impact 1 million lives, by empowering fellow human beings to do meaningful work and be future-ready, so that they can achieve a fulfilling and happy life. We want to build a community to support everyone to be future-ready.
One thing that binds us together is the common space that we share, to co-exist together, to survive and thrive. Experts have said that the current times we are living in is VUCA. A fanciful term meaning, we are living in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous world. With the recent pandemic, we are forced to pivot at unprecedented speed. For many, this is not an easy task because we are simply not equipped to navigate in a world of unorganised information.

Millions of jobs will be replaced in the coming near future due to rapid advancement of adoption of technologies accelerated by COVID-19 global pandemic. As a result, we will witness millions of people becoming jobless and they might not be prepared for the changing jobs landscape.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) concluded in a recent report that “a new generation of smart machines, fueled by rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, could potentially replace a large proportion of existing human jobs.” Robotics and AI will cause a serious “double-disruption,” as the coronavirus pandemic pushed companies to fast-track the deployment of new technologies to slash costs, enhance productivity and be less reliant on real-life people. The organisation cites that automation will supplant about 85 million jobs by 2025.
Everywhere we look around the world, jobs will be the central challenge of the future. We are in a global jobs crisis. It is daunting because this event will strip off many superficial layers and expose most of us – in order to be ready for the future, we need to re-gear ourselves, we need to think long-term.

Project Jobless was created in Q4 2020, in Singapore.
I called 2020 The Covid Year and it was an exceptional year for many of us, individuals and businesses. Because of my work with many professionals and business owners, I got first-hand experience and interaction of what is happening on ground in the market space.
A catch-up with my previous boss whom I see as my mentor inspired us to spearhead this movement, to embark on this mission to inform, to educate and to empower more people so that they can find themselves future-ready.
